Kumasi shooting: 4 NDC Hawks declared wanted by the police
- Four members of the vigilante group, The Hawks, are being sought by the police with regard to a shooting incident at Kumasi in the Ashanti region
- The suspects allegedly rode on motorbikes to an NDC meeting and fired indiscriminately, killing one person and injuring another
- The injured person is currently on admission at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital and is scheduled to undergo surgery
Four suspects in the shooting incident at the Ashanti regional office of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) have been declared wanted by the police, YEN.com.gh can confirm.
The suspects, who are alleged to be members of the pro-NDC vigilante group, ‘The Hawks,’ are currently on the run.
According to a report by Adomonline.com, the police revealed that the suspects are Husein Barnabas aka Warrior, Damous, Migyima and Abu Tariban.

The directive is in connection with the shooting incident that happened during a meeting by the NDC’s general secretary, Asiedu Nketia and chairman, Samuel Ofosu Ampofu, with regional executives at the regional office.
YEN.com.gh understands that the one person lost his life while another is in a critical condition at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH).
According to an eyewitness, the wounded man was shot once in the leg as he attempted to flee, and twice in the chest at close range.
The regional police public relations officer, ASP Godwin Ahianyo, revealed that the incident happened when gun-toting men on motorbikes invaded the NDC premises and fired several gunshots indiscriminately.
Meanwhile a release by the head of Ghana Police Public Relations Department, ACP David Eklu said the crime scene has been cordoned off by the regional police command to assist investigations.
