Coach Kwesi Appiah makes critical changes ahead of AFCON match against Cameroon

Black Stars coach James Kwesi Appiah has made some critical changes to his starting line-up ahead of the 2019 AFCON match against Cameroon.

Coach Kwesi Appiah is set to make some changes to the Black Stars team that played against Benin.

According to the coach, Inter Milan midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah and other key players who did not play the Benin game will start against Cameroon.

In a report sighted by YEN.com.gh on Citinewsroom.com, Coach Kwesi Appiah revealed changes made to his first eleven players that started against Benin.

The coach who received criticisms for not allowing Kwadwo Asamoah play in the game against Benin has decided to start him in today's game.

It has also been revealed that left full back Baba Rahaman will also be replacing Lumor Agbenyenu who played against Benin.

Many had claimed that Baba Rahaman is more experienced than Lumor Agbenyenu who is new in the team.

Defender Jonathan Mensah was also said to be one of the players who will start today's game against Cameroon.

The defender came as a substitute for John Boye who had a red card in the Benin game and will start due to John Boye missing the Cameroon game.

Jonathan Mensah will pair in the central defence with Kassim Nuhu as the coach is keen on making them stop Cameroon from scoring.

Meanwhile, captain Dede Ayew and his junior brother Jordan Ayew who both netted Ghana's two goals against Benin are said to start.

Many had criticized the Ayew brothers for not being at their best as some suggested that they should not be made to start.

In place of Jordan Ayew, many had suggested that general captain Asamoah Gyan should start against Cameroon.

Coach Kwesi Appiah is however said to make Jordan Ayew start the Cameroon game because he was adjudged the best player of the game against Benin as he also scored a goal.
