Amid the public scorn towards preachers who monetise consultations, the Head Pastor of Life Assembly Worship Center, Reverend Dr Christian Kwabena Adu, has emphasized he does not joke with consultation fees.

Reverend Dr Christian Kwabena Adu aka Osofo Kyiriabosom, who is also the flagbearer of the Ghana Union Movement (GUM) reiterated that there's absolutely nothing wrong with him as a preacher charging his members and other people who consult him on matters regarding their live.

The man of God noted that the charges differs depending on the personalities involved, noting there’s a different price list for politician, entrepreneurs and ordinary people.

Reverend Dr Christian Kwabena Adu made reference to doctors who charge consultation fees to fund their lavish lifestyles and wondered why pastors cannot do same.

Speaking on Accra 100.5FM’s ‘Ayekoo Ayekoo’ with Nana Romeo, Osofo Kyiriabosom described critics as ignorant of the teachings of the Bible.

He added that he uses consultations to fund his church operations, foot the church’s utility bills, TV programmes as well as other projects.

Osofo Kyiriabosom also said there is no way he will stop collecting fees on consultation because the offertory alone cannot solve the church’s problems.

''I don’t joke with my consultation fees. I can’t afford to go hungry when I’m working. Doctors charge for consultation, so why can’t we pastors do same when people come to us,'' the man of God stressed.

''Those who criticise me and other pastors are just ignorant of the teachings of the Bible.''
