Salomey Akua Amoakoa, the winner of Ghana’s Most Beautiful 2011, and the 4th wife of Dr. Kweku Oteng has spoken on issues surrounding her marriage.
In an interview she had and monitored by YEN.com.gh on the Restoration show, Akua said at a point, she wanted to leave her marriage.
She had this thought when people were speculating about her reason for marrying someone old enough to be her father.

Overwhelmed by the many stories which she said were untrue, Akua said she made a move to leave her marriage but later kicked against it.
It is no news that many people accused her of marrying Dr. Oteng because of his money.
However, Akua has denied this many times and told the truth about why she agreed to marry Dr. Kweku Oteng.
She also revealed that Dr. Oteng had to chase her for a very long time before he got to marry her.
Explaining the above, the former beauty queen said once one becomes a beauty queen, men chase them like “flies”.

She added that there were many other rich older men who were more influential but she chose Dr. Oteng in the long run due to his humility.
Akua also praised her husband as a man who loves God, loves to give, and near-perfect.
She reveals how happy she is to be married to a man with a heart of gold, admitting that if she had married a young man, she would not have been where she is now.
