Robert Pattinson is causing a stir on social media amid a revelation that he's been crowned the most beautiful man in the world.

Jacaranda FM reported that, according to a theory known as The Golden Ration of Beauty Phi, the actor was crowned most handsome in the world.

The Golden Ration of Beauty Phi was apparently used by ancient Greeks to measure facial perfection.

It was subsequently used by a lot of painters in the European Renaissance.

Robert's features came out tops after this theory was applied to his and other male celebs' features.

This announcement did not sit well with many users on social media.

Many felt it's inaccurate because it used European standards of beauty.

Others felt Robert is simply too plain to be the world's most handsome man.

And others were just pissed because their faves didn't win.

Robert did have some fans who were thrilled their lifelong celeb crush came out on top.
