Medikal’s wedding: Top military officer says soldiers have been arrested

The top hierarchy of the Ghana Army has revealed that the soldiers who were captured as escorts in uniforms at the marriage ceremony of rapper Medikal have been arrested and being investigated.
According to a statement signed by the head of public relations GAF, Colonel Eric Aggrey Quarshie, the soldiers are under arrest, pending investigations.
He noted that the soldiers were at the wedding ceremony without approval or permission from their superiors in their uniforms.

Colonel Quarshie opined that uniformed soldiers making appearances at private events without permission is not allowed.
The Ghana Armed Forces say personnel from the Ghana Armed Forces were not for hire to the highest bidder.

He noted that sanctions will be meted out to the soldiers after investigations. He added that the sanctions to be meted will ranged from caution to even dismissal depending on the outcome of the investigations.
On Saturday, March 7, 2020, Medikal and Fella Makafui held their traditional wedding ceremony inside Adjringanor, East Legon.
At the event, there were some persons clad in Military uniforms with their faces veiled acting as security for the couple.
YEN.com.gh earlier reported that following a very beautiful wedding between Medikal and his wife Fella Makakui on Saturday, March 7, 2020, the popular actress has named Shatta Wale and Criss Waddle as her prayer warriors.
According to Fella, Shatta Wale and Criss Waddle were seriously praying for her before and during her wedding.
