The wife of Vice-President Mahamadu Bawumia, Samira Bawumia has revealed that it was through the grace of God that she became the Second Lady of Ghana.

Samira said but for the special intervention of God, she could not have risen to occupy this key position in the country.

The Second Lady made this revelation while peaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosiisen show as part of the celebration of the International Women’s Day on Monday, March 9, 2020, she made this revelation.

Speaking on the need to educate the girl child, Mrs Bawumia expressed great appreciation to her parents for educating her and making her the “first graduate in her family from both mother and father’s side”.

According to her, if her parents had not sent her to school, it would have been difficult to reach that feat of a Second Lady status.

“ As you know if I had not gone to school, becoming the second lady could be challenged. And I thank God that he picked me from where I was to make me the second lady.

“I am grateful to God. What it means also is that whatever God says about you will surely come to pass”, she indicated

In other news, Second Lady Samira Bawumia has revealed that her husband, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia could not propose her directly when they met for the first time.

According to Samira, it was “love at first sight” when they met.

Speaking in a radio interview on Monday, March 9, 2020, the Second Lady said the Vice President, upon seeing her the first time, said he had met his soul mate.
