Renowned Ghanaian striker Asamoah Gyan who plays for the Black Stars of Ghana, as well as NorthEast United, has named his top 3 teammates of all time he has played with.
According to Pulse.com.gh, Asamoah Gyan who is also known as the Baby Jet revealed that Michael Essien was on top of his list followed by Sulley Muntari and Laryea Kingston.
Asamoah Gyan played with Michael Essien, from 2003 to 2014 at the senior national football team of Ghana, the Black Stars.

It is indicated that Gyan made the rather profound statement in an interview, stating that despite having played together with several other fine players at both club and country levels, Essien is the best player he has ever played with.
Although Gyan did not mention the exact reasons for choosing Michael Essien as his favourite, he revealed why Muntari and Laryea were part of the list saying:
“I always knew 98% that I would score when I played around Laryea Kingston and Sulley Muntari because they would always put the ball before you to score".
