A throwback photo showing the humble beginning of Ghana’s ‘Highest’ rapper Sarkodie has surfaced online.
He wore a simple pink shirt over a pair of nylon trousers which was very common in those days.
What is more, one might need to take a second or third look at the photo to be sure that it is Sarkodie.
Some fans have commented on the photo with some saying Sarkodie looks like other people.
Deezy, for instance, said the photo looks like Titi:
Ellen said the photo looks like Opanka:
Wilfred wrote in Akan that there is indeed hope:
wilfred_succeeder: “Anidaso nsae.”
Abasu, Maus3, QueenB, Jay, all were able to recognise Sarkodie:
abasanu_collections: “U know what time Id is.”
maus3_ceo: “Kabutey hmmmmm.”
queenb.empire: “King sark.”
Glam said Sarkodie has really come far with God on his side:
mdglamdecor: “Person come far.. God dey o.”
The photo shows that indeed no condition is permanent as the ‘poor’ Sarkodie in the photo looks rich now.
He had revealed in an earlier interview how he lived with a guardian at Mile 7 in Achimota, Accra, because his parents could not afford to cater for him.
Sarkodie told how the woman maltreated him to the point that he could not even get food to eat in a day.
Today, he is one of Ghana’s biggest musicians known worldwide.
He had been listed in the Forbes richest musicians in Africa.
Recently, his wife Tracy shared a photo of one of his powerful Range Rovers to show that Sarkodie indeed enjoys luxury.
