Like many students around the world, Chance Kennedy could not walk across the stage to accept his diploma.

However, the 22-year-old North Carolina Central University student did not let it keep him from celebrating one of the most important days in his life.

He made a video of himself dancing in his graduation gown and posted it on Instagram. The clip gathered over 83 000 views and was quickly shared across all social media platforms.

According to Good Morning America, Kennedy was inspired by a remixed gospel song his mom saw on Facebook and he made the clip for his friends and family.

He said:

"Coming into freshman year, I was always the kid who was dancing. Like, before you might know my name, you’d know me as the kid who’s always dancing.”

Kennedy said he came into college in 2016 dancing and he's leaving in 2020 dancing.

He added:

"It’s really the perfect way for me to leave, so that's why doing that Senior Walk was so much fun. I wasn’t expecting anything from it … the next thing I know, it went crazy. It is definitely really cool.”

Briefly.co.za earlier reported that a woman has taken to social media to share how she achieved success.

She said that she was the result of eating iskhokho and tea and going through the public education system. These two variables, however did not deter her from achieving her qualification.
