UK-Based Ghanaian musician Stephanie Benson has written a romantic letter to her husband John Benson as they celebrate 31 years of marriage today June 17, 2020.

Stephanie Benson also took advantage to open up about her marriage for the first time.

In a post sighted by YEN.com.gh, Stephanie Benson stated that on her wedding day 31 years ago, her uncle didn't want her to marry a white man.

But she said she stood her grounds, went into the church and got married to her husband and hasn't regretted doing that.

The controversial singer urged young people who are ready for marriage to take their time and search for their soulmates and they will never regret their choices.

This is the romantic message Stephanie Benson sent to her husband:

“31 years ago at 3pm, 17th June, 2 hours 45 mins, he waited at the Church while I was dealing with strong opposition at home, from my Uncle who hated the idea of my marrying a man of a diifferent race."
