COVID-19: Brother of late SDA hospital director also dies of coronavirus

- The brother, William Boateng, also died of the virus due to his close association with his brother when he fell sick
- His death comes exactly eight days after his younger brother, Dr Harry Owusu Boateng, died of COVID-19

William Boateng, the brother of Harry Owusu Boateng, a medical doctor at the Kwadaso SDA Hospital who died of COVID-19 last week, has also died of the virus, YEN.com.gh can report.
He contracted the virus due to his close association with his brother, Dr Harry, who died of COVID-19 eight days ago.
William died at a hospital in Kumasi in the early hours of Sunday, June 21, 2020, after being sent there for treatment.

Until his death, William Kwabena Boateng served as the presiding member for the Oforikrom Municipal Assembly (OFMA) in the Ashanti Region.
He also doubled as the assembly Member for the Ayigya-Ahenbronum Electoral Area in the Oforikrom Municipality.
According to residents in Ayigya-Ahenbronum, he was a selfless person who dedicated his time to serving the people honestly.

YEN.com.gh earlier reported that the medical director at the SDA hospital in Kwadaso in the Ashanti region passed on June 13, 2020, due to COVID-19.
All those who came in contact with him were to be traced and tested for the virus, which has so far taken the lives of 95 people.
