Renowned Ghanaian gospel singer, Sonnie Badu, has replied to the people criticising Stonebwoy over his Putuu freestyle song.

Since the release of the song, several industry players have criticised him for singing what they say is a 'senseless' song.

In an interview with Celebritiesbuzz monitored by YEN.com.gh, Sonnie Badu stated that the more people criticise Stonebwoy's Putuu song, the more he makes money from that particular song.

The Rock Hill Church pastor added that what Stonebwoy did with his Putuu song is pure creativity and show business.

The Baba hitmaker stated that he believes Stonebwoy did the Putuu song to make him stay relevant in a particular time frame.

He added that when it comes to music, one does not always use meaningful words but rather uses a good "riddim":

Music has an entertaining factor to it. Music is a mystery. Okay? Music is creativity. I can create a riddim with meaningless words. I don’t need to tell you what that means. I am only telling you how I feel.

Sonnie Badu disclosed that Stonebwoy's Putuu song might not make sense to the fans or listeners but only he as the musician knows the inspiration behind the song.

The more you talk about it, the more he stays relevant. It is called Showbiz. So if Stonebowy is also strategically staying relevant, everyone will have a question on it and once you talk about it and watch it, you’ve added to his streams. Who makes the money? So the more criticize him, the more he makes the money. In fact, he wants you to criticize more and then bang he releases another song. So you see, he just got creative.

Stonebwoy was excited that his colleague, Shatta Wale, loves a song that some people have boldly come out to condemn.

The Kumawood actor appears to have been infected by the Putuu virus.
