YEN.com.gh has gathered that Biden, who was addressing a virtual rally on Sunday, October 25, said America could not take four more years of "George" while deferring to Trump.

The confusion in Biden's speech was silently corrected by his wife Jill who was seated close to him during the address.

"What kind of country are we gonna be? Four more years of George...George...We are gonna find our selves in a position where...if Trump gets elected, we are going to be be in a different world," said Biden.

As the Democrat mentioned George, Jill whispered under her breath, "Trump, Trump" to correct the confusion made by her husband, who appeared not to have realised that he had referred to Trump as George.

The sentiments were quickly picked up by Trump and his handlers who lashed out at Biden for "forgetting" the president's name and confusing him with "George Bush".

George W Bush was US president between 2001 and 2009 while George H Bush was the US head of state from 1989 to 1993.

Trump further accused a section of the media of not reporting about Biden mistaking him for George and once again referred the media as "fake news".

"Joe Biden called me George yesterday. Couldn’t remember my name. Got some help from the anchor to get him through the interview. The Fake News Cartel is working overtime to cover it up!" Trump tweeted Monday, October 26.
"The look on Jill's face was like "come on Joe, get the train back on the tracks," one of Trump's supporters tweeted.

Since Biden, 77, expressed interest in vying for the presidency, Trump has been using his age to disparage his ability to lead the US and he has also joked severally that "Biden needs to be in a care home".

Trump, 74, who also refers to Biden as "Sleepy Joe" has further claimed that the former vice president may not power through to a second term if elected present and banks on handing power to his running mate Kamala Harris after four years.

On his part, Biden has dismissed Trumps claims he is " becoming senile" and has urged the electorate to examine his track record for them to be able to know how much he can do for them if elected president.

As separately reported by YEN.com.gh the duo will lock horns during the presidential election that is slated for November 3.

Early voting is, however, underway and President Trump is among those who have already voted.

Former US Barack Obama is among leaders who have thrown their weight behind Biden. Biden served in Obama's administration as the vice president.
