On Saturday, November 7, 2020, Joe Biden was announced a s president elect of the United States of America with the sitting president being unseated.
His defeat in the election was not one that was expected as most people were not expecting a seating president to loose.
The National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Samuel Ofosu Ampofo has called on Ghanaians to do the same thing Americans did to Trump during the 2020 elections.
In a report filed by JoyNews, he urged Ghanaians to come out in their number to vote out president Akufo-Addo as Americans recently dumped Donald Trump.
Speaking at a campaign rally in Suhum, Ofosu-Ampofo said the abysmal performance of president Akufo-Addo since he took office is enough evidence that he needs to be ousted.
“You see how the American’s recently did to their president Donald Trump? Let’s take a cue from them and send Akufo-Addo too home.” he said.
In other news, the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) believes his victory will be the same for John Dramani Mahama.
Joe Biden and John Dramani Mahama share similar political history. Both served as vice presidents and also worked at the Senate (parliament, in Ghana’s case).
Both helped their bosses to win 2008 elections, became Vice President in 2009,left power in 2016, contested in 2020, have female Vice (first time in both USA/Ghana history) and are social democratic parties and belong to Socialist International.
Meanwhile, President Akufo Addo has also congratulated Joe Biden entreating him to install peace, unity and economic progress in the U.S. and across the world.
