In what has surprised many around the world, given his refusal to concede defeat in the just-concluded US presidential election, President Donald Trump has agreed to leave the White House on one condition.
According to Bloomberg, Trump said he will hand over to Joe Biden if the Electoral College declares the former vice president as the winner of the US election.
Trump made the disclosure while answering questions from reporters at the White House on Thursday, November 26, after a Thanksgiving teleconference with members of the military.

The US president who is speaking to the press for the first time since his election defeat indicated that he may never formally concede defeat to Biden and may even skip the inauguration in January.
Ever since Biden was projected winner of the US presidential election, Trump has made attempt to stop the former vice president's victory.
Asides from refusing to concede, Trump has spread wild theories about stolen ballots and launched legal suits to challenge the results of the election.
Trump finally agreed that a transition process should take place. The president disclosed that he has given the green light for the General Services Administration (GSA) to do the needful in ascertaining that Biden won the election.
The GSA had earlier sent a letter to Biden to inform him that his transition could now begin.
It was earlier reported that President Trump's increasingly delusional claims of victory have been given a soft pat after an appeal court judge in Pennsylvania issued a directive to stop the certification of election results.
The order was given on Wednesday, November 25, barely a day after Governor Tom Wolf of Pennsylvania said the department of state had certified Biden as the projected winner of the state's presidential poll.
Trump reacted to the development in a post on his Twitter account, and according to him, it is a "big news!"
The incumbent president has not yet presented any proof of the widespread voter fraud that he claimed cost him the election to Biden.
As of Friday, November 20, Biden had amassed a total of 80 million votes against Trump who was six million votes behind him at 74 million.
Ballot counting is still ongoing in the US and once completed, Biden is expected to be sworn in as president on January 20.
