Prison break: 12 inmates of Zenu-Atadeka jail pour hot porridge at prison officer to escape

- Up to twelve inmates of the Zenu-Atadeka Prison attempted to escape

- The inmates poured hot porridge on the face of a prison guard to escape

- There is a manhunt for the prisoners with one re-arrested

There has been a prison break attempt by twelve inmates who attacked a prison officer by a hot bowl of porridge at him.

This incident happened at the Zenu-Atadeka Police Station at the Kpone-Katamanso Municipality in Accra.

The orchestrated attack on the prison guard – according to Police reports, saw other inmates scramble to push open the prison gates as the prison guard struggled to catch sight of them.

Reports from the police reveals there is a manhunt for these inmates named; Basit Sulemana, Richard Remeo, Ibrahim Adams, Sulemana Karim, Musah Ali and Musah Ibrahim., Sulemana Ibrahim, Abu Sadiq, Mubarak Seiti, Ibrahim Fuseini, Aziz Fuseini and Amish Akorli.

The United States of America has distributed free boxes of Motorola Communication gadgets to the Ghana Army for they deployment to UN peace missions.

The ambassador of the US to Ghana, Stephanie S. Sullivan, expressed that the kind $330,000 donation forms part of the US-Ghana security agreement to foster peace and security.

“We outdoor a state-of-the-art Motorola communication network package funded through the U.S. Department of State and the Global Peace Operations Initiative or GPOI program. The package, valued at $300,000, also included installation and training on the new equipment for technicians of the First Company Signal Regiment,” she stated.

Meanwhile, the US Embassy in Ghana says it funded the “You Only Live Once” YOLO television series.

The Series addresses important issues of concern to young Ghanaians including sexual reproductive health and economic independence.

This funding was made through the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), the National Population Council (NPC), and the Ghana Health Service (GHS).
