Ghanaian rapper, Yaw Tog, has been interviewed on BET this week.

It is part of the opportunities granted him as the Amplified Artist of the Month by the American cable television channel.

This means more international exposure for the poster child for Asakaa, born Thorsten Owusu Gyimah.

He will be introduced to the audience of platforms owned by the media company including BET Jams, BET Her, BET Soul, and BET International Channels in Africa, the UK, France, and South Korea.

Tog is known for his song 'Sore' which was released in September 2020. The remix of the song which featured Stormzy and Kwesi Arthur was released early this year.

In March 2021, he released his debut EP titled 'Time.'

“I’m very much an Asakaa boy, but I wanted people to know I can do every type of music, from drill to hip-hop and Afrobeats,” Tog stated in a recent interview with DJ Mag.

During the BET interview, Tog spoke about topics including how he started his music, his inspirations, and his dream collaborations.

Since the release of the interview, Ghanaians have praised Tog for being featured on an international television channel.

In other news about Tog, he faced heavy criticism following the release of his latest freestyle and decided to title it "Me".

The song saw Tog bragging about his collaboration with Ghanaian-British star, Stormzy and garnering 1 million Youtube views in just three days.

A number of Ghanaians who listened to the latest work of the young musician appeared unimpressed by the song with many calling out the poster child for a poor freestyle, and the display of locally acquired foreign accent (LAFA).

"Yaw Tog Really disgrace me. Ei What this? My eardrum all dey pain me," one fan wrote on Twitter after listening to the song.
