There was confusion at The Caste E Choke party in the Basement Night Club in Kumasi as the police and military stormed the venue to enforce the directive against social gatherings by President Akufo-Addo.
Personnel from the police and military allegedly flocked the Basement Night Club to disperse the revellers who had dangerously gathered, throwing caution to the wind to enjoy themselves despite the Covid-19 restriction on social gatherings.
There's no report of any arrests but it's evident the party organisers failed to secure permission from the city authorities.
In videos sighted by YEN.com.gh, crammed-up partygoers could be seen leaving the basement with many struggling to make their way out of the place.
Sharing the footage on Instagram, Ghanaian blogger GH Hyper wrote, ''Police and soldiers storm Basement Night Club to stop massive Caste E Choke’ party; thousands flee.''
A reveller expressed his displeasure about the sudden police and military take over, disrupting the party for them.
