Popular Ghanaian actress, Akuapem Poloo, named at birth Rosemond Alade Brown, has asked for time to organise herself to enable her to address the public.

In a press conference in the office of her lawyer, Andrew Vortia, the actress appeared traumatised and could hardly speak.

Akuapem Poloo, however, asked for time to put herself in shape to enable her to address her fans and the public.

''I'm sorry, I want to put myself in shape and address whoever I want to address,'' she said in the meeting that lasted less than a minute.

Background

The High Court granted Akuapem Poloo bail one week after her prison sentence in the sum of GHc80,000 with two sureties and was ordered to report to the case investigator every two weeks.

She was also directed to hand over her passport to the registrar of the court.

Akuapem Poloo was convicted to serve 90 days imprisonment by an Accra Circuit Court on her plea to three charges, including publication of obscene materials involving her seven-year-old son.

Her lawyer secured her bail after she was taken to the court to sign her bail bond on Friday, April 23.
