Odartey Lamptey set to outdoor his Glow-Lamp Academy

- The ex-Ghana international star will also name a facility at his football academy after his late mentor Stephen Keshi

- Lamprey has fond memories of Keshi who helped him find his feet at Belgian side Anderlecht in the early 90s

Ex-Ghana international, Nii Odartey Lamptey is set to open a football academy, following his victory in a legal tussle with his former wife.

The former Black Stars midfielder has endured a torrid time in the last four years, having been sued by his ex-wife, Gloria Appiah.

However, Lamptey was handed some respite on Wednesday when an Accra High Court quashed a suit by his ex-wife to claim 50% of his assets.

The former Anderlecht man is now in line to open his football academy, in a bid to help develop talents in the country.

According to him, there are a lot of youthful talents that are untapped, hence his motivation to set up a football academy.

Odartey Lamptey played for the Black Stars for nearly a decade, featuring in three Africa Cup of Nations tournaments in the 1990s.
