Ghanaian businesswoman and owner of the Maame Gold Online Shop in East Legon, Irene Adusei Sarkodie, has courted attention after a video of her going about her rounds in a sleek white G-Wagon surfaced online.

The video shared by TikToker and influencer Honam Sardine captured Maame Gold stepping out of the luxurious car.

Last year, the wealthy businesswoman announced that she had added a new Mercedes G-Wagon to her fleet. Footage of her at the port for the first unveiling of the car surfaced online, earning her significant praise online.

In the new video sighted by YEN.com.gh, Maame Gold was seen with an intriguing package which she took out of the white G-Wagon.

Maame Gold was visiting Honam Sardine to present her with an official invitation to her late dad, Nana Adusei Sarkodie's funeral.

The personalised package contained several items, including a customised invitation card, wine and perfume.

Her father's funeral comes off on September 20 and 21 in Kumasi. Scores of top personalities, including former president John Agyekum Kufuor, are expected.

Maame Gold, who owns one of the most renowned luxury fashion shops in Accra, has already unveiled the official mourning cloth.

Who is Maame Gold's late father?

Maame Gold's father, Nana Adusei Sarkodie, was the chief of Buruku Ahodwo in the Ashanti Region.

He was a Ghanaian politician linked with the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and served as a member of parliament for the Atwima Nwabiagya constituency from 1997 to 2005.

Apart from law-making, the late politician led various companies, including Ghana Airways and Bonte Gold Mines.

Maame Gold announced her father's demise on March 13, explaining that the late politician would have been 80 on April 17.

In her sombre post in honour of her late father, she said:

"Today we celebrate what would have been your 80th birthday. Though you’re no longer with us, your love, wisdom, and strength still live on in our hearts. You were our rock - steady, kind, and full of quiet strength. Since your passing in March, not a day goes by without thoughts of you. We miss you deeply, but we carry your memory with pride and love. Happy birthday in heaven, Dad. Thank you for everything. We love you always."

Celebrities storm Maame Gold’s father’s one week

Meanwhile, YEN.com.gh reported that the one-week observance held in memory of Maame Gold's father saw many celebrities in attendance.

Those who arrived to honour the late chief of Buruku Ahodwo included TikTok creator, Oheneba Jude, radio presenter and DJ, Andy Dosty.

Former Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Joseph Osei-Owusu popularly known as Joe Wise, also joined Maame Gold to mourn her late father.
