Dumelo's latest project follows a long list of personal initiatives for his constituents.
In January 2026, he was seen personally distributing free fuel to taxi drivers at a filling station in Haatso, earning him the nickname "MP papa paa" online.
He has also frequently deployed free buses to assist residents and students during transport crises and university vacations, while distributing food items to school feeding caterers to ensure children in his constituency had wholesome meals.

Dumelo cuts sod for new senior high school
On August 5, 2026, the MP cut the sod for the construction of a new day senior high school in Ayawaso West Wuogon, right in Pantang.
Land for the project was secured through weeks of negotiation with the EP Church Ghana, which agreed to hand over the site after Dumelo explained the constituency's needs.
Speaking on why the project mattered, Dumelo said:
"I want to make Ayawaso a one-stop constituency when it comes to education, quality education. We only have one secondary school, which is the STEM, but that is more science related. And so I decided to look, let me look for land and let me construct a secondary school here."
Dumelo details funding and community involvement
He explained that the school would be built and staffed entirely by people from the constituency itself, adding:
"The interesting thing is that it's for the community by the community. And so the workers, everybody will be from the community. The students of course will be from the community, and it's going to be fully funded by myself and a group of friends. Already, some people have started donating sandstone, cement, iron rods and some cash."
Dumelo set a nine-month target for completion, aiming to welcome the first intake of students by September the following year.
The finished school, he said, would include a library, a science lab, and other standard modern amenities.
