Tottenham Hotspur striker Richarlison has proposed to his long-time partner, Amanda Araújo, in a lavish moment that has since gone viral online.

Richarlison and Amanda first connected in 2019 through the mobile game PUBG Mobile, striking up a friendship before eventually meeting in person in 2023.
The pair went public with their relationship shortly after, and welcomed their son, Richarlison Jr., in June 2025.
Amanda, a Brazilian model, digital creator, and law student, has built a large online following of her own, with 1.6 million followers on Instagram.
Richarlison's proposal at London's tallest hotel
Richarlison popped the question on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at the Shangri-La The Shard, one of the tallest hotels in Western Europe, with rooms situated more than 100 metres above the ground and a pool on the 52nd floor.
He arranged a room decorated with rose petals, candles, a heart-shaped floral arch, and a light-up sign reading "Will you marry me?"
Amanda confirmed the moment on social media, sharing photos from the proposal and writing simply, "I said yes."
She also showed off her new ring, joking it was "a big, shiny diamond that I can wave around and talk endlessly about."
The couple capped off the evening with a private dinner at the hotel.

Richarlison's future at Tottenham in doubt
The proposal comes at a time of uncertainty over Richarlison's future at the club.
He has been the subject of persistent transfer speculation throughout 2026, with reported interest from several Saudi Pro League clubs, as well as European sides including Juventus and Fenerbahçe.
Tottenham have confirmed they would demand a significant fee for any sale, having retained the option to extend his contract, which currently runs to June 2027, by an additional year.
He was Tottenham's top scorer in all competitions last season, netting 11 Premier League goals, and the engagement news broke just days before the club's Premier League opener.
