Ghana's Most Beautiful 2023 contestant Ohemaa, who flew the flag for the Bono East Region during the competition, has publicly addressed accusations that she stole fabric from a market shop, breaking her silence in a video that has since circulated widely online.
The fashion influencer took time in the clip to walk viewers through exactly what she says happened that day at Tafo market, offering a detailed account that differs sharply from how the incident was portrayed.

Ohemaa GMB's account of the Tafo market incident
According to Ohemaa, she had gone into town for a shopping trip accompanied by her driver. The pair had agreed to make a stop at a spot called F9 inside the Tafo market.
While there, she spotted a fabric at one of the shops and went inside to find out the price, only to discover the shop was empty. She left without taking anything and encountered a woman at the entrance on her way out.
"The lady accused me of stealing a dress from her shop although she was some people seated at the entrance," she explained. Ohemaa said she attempted to defend herself, but neither the woman nor those gathered around were willing to hear her out.
The situation escalated further because of her driver's actions. Unaware that nothing had been purchased, he spotted a sack at the entrance and loaded it into the car under the assumption that Ohemaa had already settled the bill. She maintains she had absolutely no idea what the sack contained.

Ohemaa's driver's reaction adds to the drama
Once the filming started and people began capturing the scene, the driver reportedly reacted with anger rather than composure.
According to the Ohemaa GMB, the driver unloaded all of her belongings from the vehicle, threw them onto the ground, and drove off, leaving her items exposed for anyone nearby to take.
The incident quickly snowballed on social media, with the video drawing significant attention and prompting strong opinions about the beauty queen's conduct.
Her clarification video appears to be a direct response to the reputational damage that followed.
