A brilliant Nigerian tech reviewer, @kagantech, has exposed how Yahoo boys make fake bank transfers.
He said it is always important to check one's bank app whenever one receives an SMS alert for a transaction.

Spotting fake bank transfer
In the video, he explained further that Yahoo boys use an app called ProBank which enables fake transfers.
@kagatech added that the app could curl up the account balance of a person's account number.
He said such fake transfers could also be spotted by looking at alert descriptions, which always have "Probank" in them.

French university bans students from using Chat GPT
Meanwhile, Yen.com.gh earlier reported that a prestigious French university on Friday barred students from using the artificial intelligence chatbot ChatGPT to complete coursework.
The OpenAI bot, a US business that this week received a big capital injection from Microsoft, reacts to straightforward requests with reams of text drawn from data amassed online. One of France's most esteemed colleges, Sciences Po, in Paris warned that anyone discovered using the chatbot would be subject to,
"sanctions which can go as far as expulsion from the establishment or even from higher learning". "The use, without explicit mention, of ChatGPT or any other tool using AI at Sciences Po is... for the moment strictly forbidden for students producing written or oral assignments," the university said.
