Outspoken Ghanaian prophetess Jessica Otiwaa has stirred controversy following her reaction to the demise of Ghanaian TikToker Osanju.

In a video sighted by YEN.com.gh on the TikTok page of @jessicaotiwaa5, the elderly woman, clad in white apparel, claimed that September carries a bad omen.

In this vein, she stressed the need for content creators, especially TikTokers, to be mindful of their utterances about others, particularly if their words come off as disrespectful.

“Be careful if you are the type who often takes to social media to lash out and insult people. This month, which is the ninth month, carries pain. We will hear of tragic news, and this will go on until November. So please, let’s be careful.”

Prophet Jessica Otiwaa speaks on Osanju's passing

Prophetess Jessica Otiwaa then turned her attention to Osanju, expressing her deepest condolences to the grieving family of the TikToker.

According to her, she foresaw that the days of the TikToker were numbered after the death of his mother, Amonu.

She used the opportunity to urge social media influencers to be steadfast in prayer, especially when they are fortunate enough to receive favour from top celebrities.

Details of Osanju’s demise

Osanju's death was reported on Monday, September 1, 2025.

According to a close friend, the TikToker was rushed to Mount Sinai Hospital in Kumasi after he was found to be unwell around 2 a.m., and was immediately transferred to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH).

The unthinkable, however, happened when he was declared dead shortly after arrival at around 7 a.m.

It later emerged that just hours before his death, he had posted a video in which he complained about Barcelona’s performance, after a disappointing 1-1 draw against Rayo Vallecano.

Although details about his passing remain sketchy, he was known to have battled leukaemia in the years before his death.

At the time of writing this report, the video had racked up thousands of views and over 500 comments.

Osanju's burial date announced

Earlier, YEN.com.gh reported that the family of Osanju has announced the details of his final funeral rites.

TikTok content creator Oheneba Jude, in a video, shared details of the decisions taken by Osanju’s family regarding his funeral.

He disclosed that the funeral had been scheduled for Saturday, September 27, 2025, at the Atwima Koforidua School Park in the Atwima Nwabiagya District in the Ashanti Region.
