An old video of Kofi Owusu Aduonum, husband of Ghanaian journalist Afua Asantewaa, has resurfaced online amid recent separation allegations, drawing renewed public attention to their past moments together.

The footage, which has been circulating on X, captures Aduonum during the period when his wife was undertaking her widely followed singathon attempt. In the clip, he appeared in an interview, offering unwavering support as Afua Asantewaa pursued her goal of breaking the Guinness World Record with a marathon singing session.
In the video, Aduonum spoke candidly about the emotional and physical demands of the challenge, noting that he had stayed by his wife’s side throughout the process. He shared that he had gone several days without sleep while supporting her during the intense period of one week of nonstop performance.
“I know she is a tough personality, so I did not doubt her at all. She fought a good fight,” he said during the final stages of the event, expressing admiration for her resilience and determination. Drawing from a biblical reference, he added that while preparation is important, outcomes ultimately rest in God’s hands.
He further remarked, “No, I have not slept. I have been here for about five or six days without sleeping,” highlighting the level of commitment he showed throughout the challenge.

On Tuesday, March 31, 2026, Afua Singathon hinted at marital troubles with her husband, Kofi Owusu Aduonum, amid rampant speculation.
In a TikTok live session with Prophet Fire Oja, she announced that she and her husband were separated after her relocation to Canada and not divorced.
