Ridge Hospital nurse Rejoice Tsotsoo Bortei sued the controversial activist for GH¢7 million over assault and defamation at the Accra High Court on August 20, 2025.

The court case stemmed from an incident at the hospital on Sunday, August 17, when Ralph stormed the hospital and blasted numerous nurses over alleged negligence.

He complained that after seeking medical assistance for a seriously injured individual at the emergency ward, nurses were slow to help and told him he was being disruptive by demanding assistance.

Speaking with Captain Smart on Onua Maakye on Monday, August 25, Ralph brushed the lawsuit aside and said his fight was for a better healthcare system in Ghana.

He dismissed the allegations of assault against him and said he would never lift his hand against a woman.

Ralph recounted an incident where a female nurse physically assaulted him, and he did not retaliate.

He opened up on more alleged rot at hospitals across the country and said his sole aim was to improve the conditions at the hospitals.

Ralph St Williams also said there were police officers at the facility on that day, and no assault occurred.

He narrated a painful story of how an old man allegedly died at Ridge Hospital due to alleged negligence and accused nurses at other hospitals of engaging in unethical behaviour, such as withholding medical necessities and selling them to patients at a fee.
