Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), and Kofi Iddie Adams, Minister of Sports and Recreation, attended the one-week observation for the late George Gyan Baffour Mensah on Friday, August 21, 2026.

The two officials were among mourners who signed the book of condolence at the ceremony held in memory of the late patriarch, father of former Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan.

Both Okraku and Adams took time to inscribe personal messages in the condolence book, joining a wider gathering of family members, friends, football personalities and sympathisers who came to pay their respects and stand with the Gyan family during a difficult period.
