Top NDC official and member of parliament for Builsa South, Dr Clement Apaak, says the minority NDC in parliament will soon start taking guns to parliament.

Clement Apaak's resolve follows high suspicions that the NPP majority in parliament has hired the services of security forces who are mainly members of the Invincible Forces.

The suspicion by Clement Apaak resonates among other minority MPs, who say they are not safe working in parliament, especially when the alleged Invisible Forces is now protecting the House of Parliament.

Meanwhile, Head of Public Affairs at parliament, Kate Addo, has denied these claims, although she confirmed that new batch of security officials have been deployed and are undergoing training in parliament.

“You go and bring Invisible Forces and when we are saying it, you say people are talking about rumours. We shall see. We are all here. We will all start carrying guns. When we hear gun fight here we will come,” Dr Apaak, who is a former presidential staffer, said.

The PR of parliament insists these men have no political affiliation and that they have been employed by parliament to work.

“That explained why they were there [but] as to whether they belong to a particular political party or not I’d not be able to speak to that but I do not know that. But, what I can tell you is that they have been employed by parliament,” Kate Addo stated.
