Year of Return: African American movie legend Danny Glover to visit Ghana

- Renowned actor and movie director, Danny Glover would soon visit Ghana as part of the Year of Return agenda set by Ghana.

- The ‘Jamestown to Jamestown’ project provides political activists, entertainers and others to travel from Jamestown in Virgina to Jamestown in Accra.

Actor, movie director and political icon, Danny Glover is set to visit Ghana as part of the country’s Year of Return agenda.

YEN.com.gh understands that as part of preparations to mark the 400-yer anniversary of the arrival of African slaves in the United States, leaders of NAACP have thrown their weight behind the ‘Jamestown to Jamestown’ project.

Derrick Johnson, leader of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), stated that the event is one of the unique aspects to recall the history of Africans all over the world.

Per a report by ameyawdebrah.com, he added that African Americans are now able to live in unity which is the collective effort of countless generations.

This, he added, brings power to groups of people living in Africa, America and the diaspora.

YEN.com.gh understands that Glover, just as his parents did, actively supports the activities of the NAACP.

Meanwhile, a Senegalese artist, Boubou has impressed United States-based actor and wrestler, Dwayne Johnson, with an art piece drawn with unusual objects.

Boubou has been captured in a video using dumbbells and boxing gloves to create images of people.

According to Boubou, art is freedom and he enjoys painting upside down because he believes it is quicker and easier.
