The progress of Ghana’s economy depends on some businessmen as they inject lots of capital by creating companies.
They don’t only create companies but they help in solving unemployment in the country.
These business men indirectly are breadwinners for many families in Ghana.

Osei Kwame Despite
Osei Kwame Despite is a well-known businessman in Ghana who owns many companies.
He started his life as a petty trader, dealing in music cassettes, padlocks, feeding bottles and other merchandise at Dunkwa-Offinso.

He is the CEO of Despite Group of Companies (DGC), the companies under Despite Group of Companies include U2 Company Limited (Iodated Salt Production), Neat Foods Company Limited (which produces and markets NEAT Fufu, NEAT Banku, NEAT Abenkwan, NEAT Hausa Koko, NEAT Diary Products).
Osei Kwame Despite owns radio stations across the country, top radios like Okay FM, Neat FM, Peace FM and Hello FM. He also owns one of the most-watched TV station in Ghana, UTV.
Joseph Siaw Agyepong (Jospong)
When Zoomlion Ghana Limited is mentioned one name that comes to mind is Joseph Siaw Agyepong, he is the Executive Chairman of Jospong Group of Companies.

He started from very humble beginning selling exercise books in his mother’s bookstore but now owns a lot of companies in Ghana, Africa and the Middle East. He is a self-made multimillionaire.
Dr. Kwame Kyei
Dr. Kwame Kyei is one of the respected businessmen in Ghana as he is into oil, media, hospitality and aviation.
He is the CEO of a number of businesses including Unity Oil Company Limited. He owns two radio (Light FM and Vision 1) stations and one TV station (Light TV). He is the owner of Sports Hotel in Kumasi.

Unity Oil is the biggest of his businesses, which started at Taifa in Accra has several branches nationwide. He is the owner of Unity Air, a domestic flight.
Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom
He is one of the richest Ghanaians, with his wealth estimated to be in the hundreds of millions of dollars.
Dr Nduom has built a vast business empire that boasts of leading companies in several key sectors of the economy, including hospitality and finance.

He has over 60 companies, notable among them are, GN Bank, Coconut Groove Hotel. He is also into media (GN TV, Wa FM, Light FM, Today Newspaper). He is the owner of Ghana Premier League side Elmina Sharks.
Togbe Afede XIV
Togbe Afede XIV, born James Akpo, is the President of the National House of Chiefs, and paramount chief of Agbogbomefia of the Asogli State and President of Asogli Traditional Area.
He is a business mogul in Ghana. Togbe Afede XIV is the founder of the SAS Group of companies and provides overall strategic direction to the businesses.

He has over 18 years of experience in investment banking, having co-founded Databank Financial Services Ltd in 1990. Togbe Afede XIV has played a critical role in the development of Ghana's capital markets, including developing and publishing the first ever stock market indices in 1991.
He is the majority shareholder of one of Ghana’s biggest football club Hearts of Oak. Togbe Afede XIV is the principal founder/promoter of the Africa World Airlines.
