About 90,000 unemployed graduates have been placed under the Nation Builders Corps (NABCO) programme. The programme seeks to employ 100,000 graduates on a 3-year programme. You might have gotten the NABCO application form some months ago and applied. Here are four sure ways that you can use to check your 2018 NABCO placement and also, information on how to get NABCO news today.
The NABCO Placements were scheduled to be released on the 15th of October 2018 but it has been delayed due to the large numbers that needed to be processed. It is understandable that many are looking for ways to check their NABCO postings. The latest news about NABCO’s placement, however, is that the placements will be done after the interview phase. The new NABCO placement date is not yet known but candidates who pass the interview will receive information from NABCO about their placements. The following four methods are ideal ways that applicants can use to check and confirm their postings or any other NABCO news update.
1. NABCO Portal
The entire application process was online hence, if you want to check your placements, one of the best ways to do so is through the official NABCO online Portal. It can be accessed at apply.nabco.gov.gh. You have to log in with your NABCO login details which are made up of your unique NABCO number and your password. Once you do, you will have access to any NABCO news update concerning your NABCO placement. All current news on NABCO can also be found on their official website. They also have a blog where you can find any news about NABCO.
2. NABCO SMS system
SMS seems to be the most preferred means of communication from NABCO. So far, NABCO updates have been communicated via SMS. Meaning when your placement is ready, you should expect to receive it via SMS on the phone number you used when registering. If you have not been receiving any SMS from NABCO, you should contact the NABCO office immediately.
3. Email from NABCO
Important information such as placements will also be communicated via email. Make sure you provide an active email address on which NABCO can reach you. If you have not been checking your emails regularly, you must learn to do so. You wouldn’t want to miss any vital information from NABCO! You might also want to check your spam folder every once in a while since some emails may find their way there. Always make sure that the emails you receive are from the official NABCO URL namely nabco.gov.gh.
4. List of appointments at district offices
If all the digital methods don't cut it for you, then you might as well go to your district office. Given the national scale of the project, not all district offices may receive the list of placements on time so, make sure you confirm from the district office if they have received the appointment list from the NABCO headquarters.
The NABCO initiative was launched on the 1st of May, 2018 by the President of Ghana in Kumasi. The whole idea behind NABCO was for it to serve as a means of providing employment for over 100,000 unemployed graduates in the country. The NABCO programme is operated by seven modules namely:
- Feed Ghana
- Educate Ghana
- Revenue Ghana
- Heal Ghana
- Enterprise Ghana
- Digitise Ghana
- Governance Ghana
Successful applicants will be placed under a model that best suits their qualifications. The beneficiaries will be engaged for a period of three years and they are expected to earn a monthly stipend of GH¢700 each. This amount is non-taxable.
We wish you all the best as you check your NABCO placement for 2018. Remember to work hard in whichever role you have been given so as to move the nation forward. We leave you with words from the President at the NABCO Passing Out Ceremony in Accra.
I admonish our NABCO trainees to be dutiful and productive. You must show your professional credentials to timeliness and punctuality. Live beyond reproach - Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, President of Ghana
