The photo of an expatriate lady driving a taxi on the streets of Accra has sparked a frenzy among some Ghanaian social media users.
While it is very common to find many expats working in Ghana, it is equally very rare to find them engaging in taxi driving.
And, it is even rarer when you imagine that the person driving the taxi is an expat lady.

However, that is exactly the case in a photo that has gone viral on social media.
The said photo, shared on Facebook by one Selasy Marshalls captures an old ‘white’ lady coolly steering a taxi.
Although it cannot be confirmed if she is indeed a taxi driver, the fact that her seat belt was firmly on suggests she was indeed driving the car around town.
Commenting on the photo, some Ghanaians saw the lighter side, insisting it may just have been a prank.
However, others also believe the expat lady may have been forced to drive the taxi due to the harsh economic conditions in the country.
“The economy hard so anything lawful you find you for do. The expatriates sef are not spared,” one person wrote.
Another added: “Snookes Mama...U do all.”
