Tommey was killed by her husband, Pastor Ofori, who is the head of Floodgates of Heaven International Ministries in Orlando in the United States.
As earlier reported by YEN.com.gh, Orlando police indicated that the shooting happened on September 8, 2020, outside the Navy Federal Credit Union branch where Tommey worked.
The circumstance of the death of the 27-year-old by her husband of five years has sent shockwaves to her family and Ghanaians in general.
Speaking on Franky5's This Is Gospel, Tommey's sister explained the reason for the quick burial stating Ofori shot her sister in the head many times.
Moreover, their mother has been hurt so badly and they want to hold the burial in order for her and other family members to heal from the pain.
"My mother prefers that we bury her as soon as possible in order to heal from the pain," she said.
Meanwhile, Tommey's sister has denied reports that the deceased was unfaithful to her husband in their marriage.
Following the news of Tommey's shooting, many reports have emerged on social media suggesting that Ofori killed her because she was cheating on him and was already pregnant for their church's choir director.
But according to Russell, the deceased was a responsible and virtuous woman who was not living an immoral life.
In an interview with Kofi TV which YEN.com.gh has sighted on Facebook, Tommey's elder sister explained that just like any other marriage, the couple had their troubles.
For Russell, Ofori and her sister's marriage broke up mainly because the pastor drifted into occultism and the deceased was not comfortable with it and decided to quit.
