Fire burns down shops in Accra

- Fire has reportedly destroyed shops in Accra

- According to sources, it started from a cylinder shop

- Officers of the Ghana Fire Service arrived at scene and proceeded to quench the fire

Information available to YEN.com.gh suggests that some shops have been burnt down after a fire spread in Accra.

The incident occurred near the SIC Mall at the central business district of the capital city.

The fire is believed to have started in a cylinder shop and immediately spread to other stores, causing damage along the way.

Properties worth thousands of Ghana cedis have been reportedly destroyed as a result of the incident.

According to Esther, an eye witness, personnel from the Ghana National Fire Service arrive at the scene, in an attempt to stop the fire.
