Video: Anas releases trailer of latest exposé titled ‘Galamsey Fraud’

Investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas has released a trailer for his latest exposé on illegal mining.

Anas’ new documentary piece is titled “Galamsey Fraud Part 1” and will be telecast on Wednesday, February 27, 2019.

The introduction of the trailer states that "we found some men who stabbed President Nana Addo in the back.”

Although not much was given away, the video shows some security officers who purportedly took monies to allow illegal mining activities go on.

A week ago, Anas posted on Facebook that his latest exposé will unravel illegal mining deals and details of the men behind them.

According to him, some men appointed by the president to pursue the interest of the nation have neglected their duties in exchange for money.

He said the public should be prepared to witness “shocking realities” on illegal mining activities in the country.

This comes after Anas’ last exposé caused a major storm in the sporting fraternity after he uncovered corruption and rot in Ghana football.

Dubbed “Number 12”, the documentary captured over 77 football officials and referees engaging in various untoward acts.

The exposé also led to the resignation of Kwesi Nyantakyi as Ghana Football Association (GFA) president, although the football administrator is currently challenging the allegations leveled against him in court.
