This is why we need all hands on deck. I am very confident that with the unity in our party, the NDC will win the 2020 election.

I wish to use this opportunity to call on aspirants to contribute towards NDC's agenda 2020,” he said.

After his victory in the NDC election, held on Saturday, February 23, 2019, Mahama called for unity among the party members, and declared that nothing will hinder the party's march to the Jubilee House.

After his victory, he received congratulatory messages from former president Rawlings, as well as the other candidates.

The losers agreed that the result was indicative of the overwhelming endorsement of the former president, and there were no qualms whatsoever.
