- Sammy Gyamfi has warned Ghanaians to be wary of President Akufo-Addo
- According to him the president would promise heaven and earth and deliver hell
The National Communication Officer of the opposition National Democratic Congress [NDC], Sammy Gyamfi says Ghanaians must be extremely careful about President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo ahead of 2020 election.
He explained that the president would again promise “heaven on earth” in his next campaign but will give back ‘hell’ when given the chance to rule the country once more.
Speaking on NEAT FM’s morning show ‘Ghana Montie’, Sammy Gyamfi said Ghanaians have to be very careful.
“Nana Addo has sugarcoated lips; he will promise everything but will never deliver them. We can all see what is going on now and what he promised in the 2016 election,” he noted.
His comment was in connection with the NDC’s claim that the president’s impregnable fight against illegal mining is in a final state of “glaring” defeat.
Meanwhile, the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) and Electoral Commission (EC) have clashed over the conduct of the upcoming limited registration exercise at EC’s district offices.
The general secretary of the party, Johnson Asiedu Nketia, accused the Commission of treating Inter-Party Advisory Committee (IPAC) members with contempt.
According to him, the parties IPAC meeting mounted stiff opposition to the approach adopted by the EC to conduct the limited registration exercise, arguing that it would disenfranchise potential voters.
