Nana Mprah Besemuna III said this on Wednesday, May 15, 2019, at a durbar in President Akufo-Addo’s honour.
The event was held at Dambai, the capital of the Oti region, as part of a two-day working visit by the president to the region.
He went ahead to describe the creation of the region as a long and tortuous one, and noted “God works through his chosen men and women as vessels of positive change.”
Per a Starrfmonline.com report, he added that the creation of the region may have not been realized if it was not for the president’s exceptional courage and tenacity of purpose.
He expressed hope that the creation of the Oti region will deepen the decentralization of governance, with all the related benefits in terms of human and material development.
