I nearly adopted a child – Gifty Anti encourages women
Veteran Ghanaian journalist, Gifty Anti, has revealed that she seriously considered child adoption since he completely lost hope of giving birth.
According to her, although she was strong on the outside, but had her own doubts about whether she could ever get pregnant even when she got married.
Speaking to Kafui Dey on GhOne as part of the Mothers’ Day celebration, the television presenter disclosed that marrying at age 47 made her not expectant of a baby.

Therefore, he further discussed the matter with her husband even before they got married to make sure he was comfortable with her.
Gifty, now known as Gifty 'Oheneyere' Anti, in her conversation stressed that she is one of the most privileged women because she was widely celebrated even at the time she didn’t have a biological child.
This, she said occurred to her because she has always been a mother to other people’s children.

Oheneyere Gifty Anti further stated that she intended adopting a child because she had given up on herself.

“I didn’t think it will happen. I had always wanted a child, I had tried before it didn’t happen, so for me, it is well with my soul, I had accepted,” she said.
She also added, “my husband and I had a long conversation about the possibility of pregnancy before we married and he was content with the fact that we may never have children. I guess it was not that difficult for him because he has other children as well.”
Gifty Anti, 47, got married in 2015 to the chief of Akwamu Adumasa, Nana Ansah Kwao IV, in a colorful ceremony which was dubbed ‘the Royal Wedding’.
However, the couple waited for two years to welcome their first baby girl.
