Jerry John Rawlings holds discussions with Electoral Commission (Photos)
YEN.com.gh is in possession of lovely photos of a meeting between former president Jerry John Rawlings and the Electoral Commission (EC).
As part of the meeting, he took the opportunity to congratulate the chairperson of the EC, Jean Mensa, for her work since she assumed office.
He stated that the manner in which the EC has managed its affairs, from the supervision of referendum through to the ongoing limited voters' registration exercise reflected her good record of accomplishment and integrity.

Present at the meeting were Mensa’s two deputies, Samuel Tettey, deputy chairman in-charge of operations, and Dr Bossman Eric Asare, deputy chairman in-charge of corporate services.
YEN.com.gh understands that the visit is part of the EC’s efforts to explain its operations to its main stakeholders and bring it closer to the citizenry.

The EC’s Facebook page reveals that it has, in the past few weeks, engaged in consultations with a number of organizations including the media and the leadership of some religious organizations .
The visits are also aimed at helping it to know at first-hand the concerns and issues of key stakeholders about its operations.
