The management of the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority (GPHA) has explained that it has no report of an alleged theft of car rims and tyres at any of its ports in Ghana.

The GPHA's press statement issued on Sunday, October 13, 2019, is in reaction to a video circulating on social media showing some workers at the Port [said to be in Kenya] changing alloy rims and tyres from imported cars in what is ostensibly deemed stealing.

But in a statement, management of the GPHA noted that although it will condemn any form of pilfering by its workers, the incident and circumstances as shown in the video per its investigations clearly shows no such instance occurred at its terminal.
