A lady named Auntie Yaa Dede has revealed in an interview that she has engaged in a male-dominated masonry job since 1995.

Auntie Yaa Dede is a Fante from Agona Bodom in the Central Region of Ghana. Starting the job since 1995 implies she has been in the business for almost 25 years.

The hardworking woman was interviewed by Bernice Owusuwaa from GhanaWeb in a video sighted by YEN.com.gh

It is clear that her choice of profession was no accident but a fully conscious decision. Yaa Dede explained that in her entire life, she has been very passionate about male-dominated jobs.

According to her, she has been strong-willed all her life. She has no male friends and even the manner in which she walks makes people think of her as a man.

Before becoming a mason, Yaa Dede was a trader. The trading did not provide satisfaction for the hardworking woman because she had to sit in the market all day. "I wanted to be doing hard work rather than sitting down all day," she said.

In the video, the lady also asserted that in addition to masonry, she is a painter and a tiler. She indicated that she was contracted to paint former president John Mahama's residence at Dzorwulu for several years.

According to Yaa, she has been very successful in her career as she has enjoyed excess payments from many people because she always delivers beyond expectations.

Stories of women going extraordinary lengths have been heard lately. Just recently, YEN.com.gh reported that an unidentified lady has stirred the internet with pictures of her neatly dressed in 'Ghana must go' themed cloths.

The pictures were sighted on social media by YEN.com.gh. The beautiful unnamed lady appears to be in her twenties and looks to be skilled in posing for the camera. She is a tall, slender damsel with stunning looks both facially and in stature.
