Ghanaian superstar footballer, Asamoah Gyan has been named as part of the top 10 forgotten Ballon d’Or nominees.
Our Manifesto: This is what YEN.com.gh believes in
Asamoah Gyan who plays professional football for NorthEast United, was featured on the list because he was the most-talked-about African striker in the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
During the football Mundial, he scored three times to inspire Ghana to the quarter-finals - emerging as the third African country after Cameroon and Senegal to reach that feat in the tourney.
The current General Captain for the Black Stars was shortlisted for the FIFA Player of the Year award and the Ballon d’Or in 2010 and placed 18th in the voting.

YEN.com.gh recently reported that a Ghanaian lady has been sighted in the US doing her best to get a DJ to play Ghanaian songs at Macy Mall in New York.
In a video sighted by YEN.com.gh, the lady, popularly known as Cookieteegh, walks into Macy Mall and realizes that the DJ in that mall was playing lots of Nigerian songs and nothing from Ghana.
Cookieteegh, who is also a media personality, walked straight to the DJ and insisted that he plays some Ghanaian songs.
