The National Democratic Congress (NDC) on Wednesday, February 12, 2020 held a press conference to address issues on Ghana’s energy sector and also respond to Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s results fair lecture.
But a video of the former president John Mahama dozing off at the programme has become a key talking point of the presser which sought to reject the NPP’S track record town hall meeting which happened in Kumasi on Tuesday, February 11, 2020.

The NDC flag bearer sat close to the party’s national chairman, Samuel Ofosu Ampofo.
The video captured by Ghanaweb.com showed the former president struggling to keep his eyes open.
The forum was themed "Confronting Corruption and Ensuring Wealth Creation for All, Not a Few."

Meanwhile, President Akufo-Addo has appointed Major General Thomas Oppong-Peprah, as the new Chief of Army Staff, effective Tuesday, February 18, 2020.
Major General Thomas Oppong-Peprah is currently the Chief of Staff at General Headquarters of the Ghana Armed Forces.
The latest appointment follows the retirement of Major General William Ayamdo, the Chief of Army Staff.
YEN.com.gh earlier reported that the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has threatened to declare its won results in the upcoming presidential and parliamentary results if the Electoral Commission does not rescind its decision to compile a new voters' register.
Addressing the media in Accra, the Minority Leader in Ghana’s Parliament, Haruna Iddrisu quizzed why the EC wants to change a register that was used to elect President Akufo-Addo.
