Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams has bemoaned the habit of secretly recording audios and videos of people and later putting it out in public.

In a sermon on Sunday, March 1, 2020, the founder of the Action Chapel International made the revelation that someone even had the audacity to secretly record President Akufo-Addo at the Jubilee House.

A situation which he said had led the security at the presidency, to stop all mobile phones from entering the President’s office.

The respected man of God, during his sermon to his congregation, described the act of secretly recording people as evil and a dangerous phenomenon.

I went to the office of the President the other day and they stopped cell phones from everywhere. Why? Somebody had the audacity to enter into the Office of the President to record the President. What is wrong with us? What has become of us now? To that extent, you’re not afraid?

“Husbands are recording their wives when they are making love, and wives are recording their husbands when they are making love; you record the insults but you don’t record the other things; the other things she was saying and doing – hmmmm …

The Archbishop warned and advised the congregation to desist from recording people without their knowledge or permission.

He also noted that he has since stopped people from entering his office with mobile phones as well.

People come and play people to me, they come to my office and I’ve stopped phones from entering into my office,” he told the congregation.

This society has become a very vindictive society; you record everybody and they won’t tell you they are recording you; they will set you up; that is very bad. People are even recording their fathers and their mothers; their wives and their husbands. What is wrong with you?” he asked.

YEN.com.gh earlier reported that former president John Dramani Mahama has taken a dig at the governing New Patriotic Party and President Nana Akufo-Addo.

According to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer, Nana Addo has nothing more and new to offer Ghanaians beyond his four-year mandate.

“Don’t expect anything better than what they’ve done. The onus lies on you to vote with your conscience in this year’s election,” Mr. Mahama told the chiefs and people of the Asutifi South Constituency of the Ahafo Region during his Speakout tour.
