Ghana has celebrated its 63rd Independence Day anniversary on Friday, March 6, 2020.

Just like all such occasions, many of Ghana's female stars took to social media to join the celebration.

Many of the celebrities, as we often call them, shared photos of themselves either wearing outfits in the national colours of red, yellow, and green or outfits related to Ghana's culture.

The likes of Nana Ama McBrown, Yvonne Nelson, Emelia Brobbey, Yvonne Okoro, Juliet Ibrahim, Sister Derby, Zynell Zuh, Wendy Shay, Akuapem Poloo, and many others have shared some of these photos.

Here are some of the best Independence Day photos sighted by YEN.com.gh.

Meanwhile, former President John Mahama was absent at the official celebrations of Ghana's 63rd Independence Day

The official celebrations which were held at the Baba Yara Stadium on Friday, March 6, 2020, had the Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago Keith Christopher Rowley as the special guest of honour.

Also in attendance were the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, former President John Agyekum Kufuor and many other dignitaries.

But a photo from the durbar shows Mahama's seat was empty.
