NPP Primaries: My life is in danger; Mike Ocquaye Jnr. is out for me - Adwoa Safo

- Sarah Adwoa Safo has issued a public plea to the national executive of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to help as her life is in danger

Member of Parliament for Dome Kwabenya, Sarah Adwoa Safo, has issued a public plea to the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to help as her life is in danger.

The Dome Kwabenya MP, who is facing stiff competition from Ghana’s Ambassador to India has lamented that her life is in danger.

According to her, an attempt on her life last week backfired when assailants who thought she was in the Constituency Chairman’s residence, launched an assault on the house.

She detailed that when they could not get to her, they attacked the Chairman, and beat him to pulp and in the process, vandalized his house.

According to her, she is certain that her opponents have only one motive in the contest, and that is to get her out of the contest by any means possible.

She alleged that the driver of the Speaker of Parliament who has thrown his support behind her opponent in leading the charge against her candidature and her life as well.

“This lawlessness and indiscipline must stop. They thought I was in my Chairman’s house so I was the target.
The perpetrator is Speaker’s driver. His supporters went and attacked my chairman and vandalized his house. The party must stop this because my life is being threatened,” she said.

In other news, some 53 health projects abandoned by the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) since they came into office in 2017 have been exposed by the Coalition of NGOs in Health.

According to the chairman of the group, Dr. Gabriel Bernaku, the Akufo-Addo-led administration has left these projects unattended to.

“As at 12 noon, my regional representatives were able to give me at least 53 health facilities either completed and not commissioned or abandoned halfway,” he told Joy FM in an interview.
